Director Alfonso Cuaron (who once brought us Children of Men) will helm Gravity, an upcoming science-fiction movie based on a script he wrote with his son Jonas. The story was initially centered on a female lead character, but when Angelina Jolie left, the project must have gone through some rewrite, now there are two lead characters: the space station leader played by Robert Downey Jr. and a female colleague (no actress announced yet). The movie should start filming this Summer so it will probably be released in 2011.
PLOT:
"The story takes place on a remote space station. The leader (Robert Downey Jr.) of the station and a female colleague are traveling outside the space station when the other team members are decimated by debris from an exploded satellite."
