Dwayne Johnson is taking over the role of the dominant male figure in the upcoming movie sequel to Journey to the Center of the Earth. Brendan Fraser isn’t indeed reprising his role… But Josh Hutcherson, the kid from the first film, will be back: not as a kid though, he’s now a young man.
The sequel is titled Journey To The Mysterious Island.
PLOT:
“Dwayne Johnson will play the boyfriend of Josh Hutcherson’s mom, who Hutcherson is forced to bring on a trip to a mythical and monstrous island to find his missing grandfather. The script is loosely based on Jules Verne’s The Mysterious Island.”Journey 2 will be directed by Brad Peyton. In movie theaters 2011.
