PLOT:
The film is starring AnnaSophia Robb in the lead role as Bethany hamilton, a young, teenage surfer girl summons the courage to go back into the ocean after losing an arm in a shark attack. The film is based on a true story.
Soul Surfer is an upcoming drama movie about the true story of Bethany Hamilton who's known for surviving a shark attack in which she lost her left arm, and for overcoming the serious and debilitating injury to return to surfing. The film is directed by Sean McNamara and is starring AnnaSophia Robb, Dennis Quaid, Helen Hunt, Carrie Underwood, Lorraine Nicholson, Kevin Sorbo, and Jeremy Sumpter. The release date is set for April 15, 2011.
